JAKOPS (Simon) Sakai Junho, the CEO and executive producer of the label XGALX to which XG belongs, and Chancellor, another producer, were arrested on the spot in Japan on suspicion of drug possession. Both XGALX and Avex, as well as XG members, issued comments. XGALX stated today (the 24th) through an official comment that they take seriously the concerns raised by the news of the arrest of their producers reported by some media. They continued, 'We are currently doing our best to confirm the facts related to the case and are sincerely and actively cooperating with all ongoing investigations.' Avex also communicated through their official website, 'There have been reports in some media regarding the arrest of our related personnel and group employees. Currently, police investigations are underway, and we will fully cooperate. We deeply apologize for the great concern and inconvenience caused to everyone.' XG also issued a comment through their official SNS to their fan club and related parties after 3 PM today, saying, 'We apologize for the delay in our words.' XG expressed, 'We are also feeling great surprise and confusion at this sudden event. We strongly feel the significance of everyone who supports us.' They stated, 'We want to continue to face music sincerely and work diligently as XG. We want to cherish each activity and move forward together with everyone. XG will continue to walk as XG. We would appreciate your warm support.' Earlier, a Japanese media reported that JAKOPS (Simon) Sakai Junho, the CEO and executive producer of XGALX, along with Chancellor and three other producers of XG, were arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine. According to investigation sources, police officers found cocaine on a table in a hotel room during a search, seizing a total of four bags of cocaine and one bag of marijuana. The police plan to investigate the source of the cocaine in detail.
