It was reported belatedly that ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo had temporarily terminated his exclusive contract with his agency fantagio by mutual agreement. A fantagio official told MyDaily today (the 1st) regarding the past termination of the exclusive contract and the contract with his mother’s corporation, “We have nothing further to comment on the matter.” A Korean media outlet reported today that fantagio had, in the past, terminated Cha Eun-woo’s exclusive contract because normal management had become difficult due to disputes over management rights and a management vacuum. According to this report, after trust between both sides was restored, at Cha Eun-woo’s side’s request, fantagio entered into a business outsourcing contract in July 2019 with a corporation established by Cha Eun-woo’s mother to support his entertainment activities, and this contract is still in effect. The contract with Cha Eun-woo’s mother’s corporation is drawing attention together with the tax issue reported this year.
