Rocky, the former ASTRO member who is supported by many fans in Japan for his diverse talents, will hold “2026 ROCKY FAN CONCERT IN JAPAN” on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Hulic Hall Tokyo in Tokyo, and on Sunday, November 8, at Kobe Asahi Hall in Hyogo. In addition, on Saturday, November 7, he will also hold the second installment of the “ROCKY Mystery Bus Tour,” which was held in 2024 and was met with great acclaim, so this autumn is full of enjoyable time in Japan with Rocky and HAMO (the name of the fans). At the fan concert, expectations are high for a time to fully enjoy the music and dance that Rocky expresses, and on the bus tour, a time in which fans can feel even closer and more familiar with him. This time, an interview was conducted with Rocky, who is working hard in preparation while looking forward to spending the November 3 days with HAMO in Japan. He also spoke about the fan concert and the bus tour, and gave advice to those who admire him as a performer. — The fan concert will be held in Tokyo on Friday, November 6, and in Kobe on Sunday, November 8, and the mystery bus tour is also scheduled for Saturday, November 7. This autumn is full of fun events, but which season do you like best among the four seasons? Please also tell us the reason. Rocky: I like autumn the most. It is neither hot nor cold, so it is the season in which it is easiest to be active, and I think I like the unique air and atmosphere that autumn has. — Are preparations for the fan concerts in Tokyo and Kobe going smoothly? Rocky: Yes. I am preparing hard. Right now, I am working on rearranging existing songs so that I can show them in a new atmosphere, and I am also thinking a lot about the set list. I am preparing so that you can feel a different impression from the stages you have seen so far, so please look forward to the set list as well. — What kind of new side of you will we be able to see at this fan concert? Rocky: I always make an effort to show fans a new side of me. It is not easy to think of a new side every time, but because of that, I myself also worry a lot and take on challenges while preparing the stage. This time too, I am preparing a stage that will make you feel, “So he had this side too!” so please look forward to it. — What is the biggest highlight of this fan concert? Rocky: This time, not only the rearrangement of the songs, but also the dance and performances matched to the newly arranged music are something I am putting a lot of effort into. Even with the same song, if the music and choreography change, it becomes a completely different stage, so I hope you will enjoy that part the most. — Is there anything you would like to introduce by saying, “There will be such fun things if you come to this fan concert ♡”? Rocky: I cannot tell you everything yet, but I want to create many moments where it is not just a concert where you watch the stage and end there, but where I and everyone in HAMO can breathe together and enjoy ourselves. I think there will also be parts that become even more fun depending on the fans’ reactions at the venue, so I would be happy if you actually came to the venue and enjoyed it together with me. — We heard that you started learning dance at the age of four. What was the trigger that made you start dancing? Rocky: I think I originally liked dancing so much that when music played, my body would move on its own from a young age. At first, I started naturally, almost like playing, but as I kept learning, I came to like dance more and more, and before I knew it, it became the thing I have continued the longest in my life. Looking back, I think dance is like a friend who has stayed with me the longest in my life. — You are active in many fields, showing your talents as a singer, performer, choreographer, MC, actor, producer, general director of a global K-pop talent development platform, lyricist/composer, rap maker, and judge on “Active King JAPAN.” Where do you get this energy and these ideas from? Also, which field is the most fun for you right now? Rocky: In the end, I think the energy and ideas come from the desire to show everyone a better stage and a new side of myself. When I work on one thing, ideas for other fields sometimes come to mind, and I feel that those experiences help with music and stages again. Even so, what is most fun right now is still the process of making music and completing one stage while adding choreography and performance. Being able to express on an actual stage what I had envisioned is what is most fun of all. — There are really many people who admire your dance. What is the most important thing to keep in mind in order to dance beautifully? Rocky: I think the most important thing is to listen to the music carefully. Rather than simply making the movements accurate and big, I think a lot about how to express the music’s dynamics and rhythm with my body. And in dance, small details such as fingertips, gaze, and breathing are also important. I think that by accumulating those details, the same choreography can look more natural and beautiful. — This is the second mystery bus tour, following the one in 2024. What left the biggest impression on you from the previous tour? Rocky: At a concert I am on stage and the fans are in the audience, but on the bus tour, what left the biggest impression on me was being able to talk more casually and spend time with HAMO at a closer distance. The time we laughed together and experienced various things in an atmosphere different from meeting on stage became a special memory. That is why I am very much looking forward to being able to hold it again this time. — Mini sports day events will be held on this bus tour. If you have any memories or episodes from sports days as a child that left the biggest impression on you, please tell us. Rocky: Rather than a specific episode, what left an impression on me was the atmosphere unique to sports day, where I was on the same team as my friends and we cheered and ran around together. I am the type who works hard once I start something, so this mini sports day might make me get quite serious once it begins (laughs). I am also looking forward to which team will win with HAMO. — What are you most looking forward to on this bus tour? Rocky: Above all, I am most looking forward to spending time close to HAMO. I think I can show a more relaxed side that I cannot easily show at concerts, and I hope there will be many naturally funny moments that arise while we enjoy the mini sports day and various programs together. — You always hold various fun events, but if you were to plan a new event in the future, what would you like to do together with HAMO? Rocky: It is fun just to talk with the fans, but next time I think an experiential event where we learn or make something together would be interesting. For example, it would be fun to do an event where I directly teach HAMO simple dance moves and we dance together, like a dance class where both sides can participate more actively. — Your activities in Japan are increasing, but is there a place you always go to, something you always buy, or something you never fail to do every time you come to Japan? Rocky: There is not a specific place I always go to or a fixed thing I always buy, but when I come to Japan, I feel like I always make sure to eat delicious Japanese food. If I have a little free time between schedules, I also like to take a walk around the area or look for new places. Every time I come to Japan, it is fun to discover new places and foods little by little. — What are you most interested in right now? Also, if there is anything you would like to challenge yourself with from now on, please tell us. Rocky: What I am most interested in right now is still new music and performances. I am always looking for music I have not yet tried and stages with new styles. It is important to further refine the areas I am good at, but from now on I want to broaden the range of “ROCKY” as an artist even more by taking on new genres and performances that I never expected. — When you are a little tired, how do you change your mood and refresh yourself? Rocky: I try to rest quietly by myself for even a short time and organize my thoughts. Sometimes I listen to music or eat something delicious, and above all, I think getting enough sleep and resting well is the best way to refresh myself. And once I have rested enough, I naturally start thinking about music and stages again. — Finally, please give a message to the fans who are looking forward to the fan concert and the bus tour. Rocky: This time, I am really looking forward to being able to meet HAMO in succession with the Tokyo fan concert on November 6, the mystery bus tour on November 7, and the Kobe fan concert on November 8. At the fan concert, I will show newly prepared music and performances, and on the bus tour, I want to make fun memories while laughing together at a closer distance. For everyone who has always supported me while waiting for the day we can meet from afar, I will prepare hard so that I can show you a good side of myself. Let’s make many wonderful memories together this time. See you in Japan!
