B1A4 will make a comeback on April 21 with their 9th mini-album "SET." This comeback, after 2 years and 3 months, is significant as it is their new album released just 4 months after becoming independent. They accelerated album preparations right after their independence to return on April 21, which marks 15 years since the release of their debut album "Let's Fly." The album name "SET" signifies the beginning of B1A4 as a trio with Shinwoo, Sanduel, and Gongchan, following their 4th album "Origine" and the 8th mini-album "CONNECT," which maintained a connection with fans during their time apart. This album represents a completed form and the meaning of "three," indicating that it is only complete when the three are together. Notably, member Shinwoo took charge of the overall production of the album. Having showcased his skills as a composer through self-written songs like "Nightmare," "Like a Movie," and "REWIND," Shinwoo has expanded his role beyond just songwriting or composing to planning the entire album as a producer. Every concept, from the music video planning to costumes, has gone through Shinwoo. Along with Shinwoo, Sanduel and Gongchan also participated in writing the lyrics for "CPR," contributing to the setlist and album name planning, proving the ambition of the newly established B1A4 Company to handle future B1A4 activities. The title track "Rock, Scissors, Paper" is a dance-pop genre song with a rhythmic bass, lively synthesizers, and groovy drums, incorporating B1A4's refreshing sensibility. Centered around the message "one is better than two, two is better than three," the song depicts moments of natural connection between people through the simplest game of "rock-paper-scissors," delivering an addictive charm that allows everyone to enjoy together in a free atmosphere. This album marks the first step forward in the story of the unbroken connection between the three, signifying completion. As B1A4 enters its 16th year, this album showcases their true essence while allowing each member to express their colors freely. Pre-orders start today (14th), and after the album release on April 21, they plan to stay close to their fan club BANA for a year. While music program activities will end in a week, various channels and projects are planned to allow fans to spend a year with B1A4, gradually revealing activities and providing a fulfilling year for fans who have waited long.
