ADOR's representative Min Hee-jin revealed details about the production process of NewJeans and their relationship with the members. Today (25th), Representative Min Hee-jin held an emergency press conference in a certain location in Seoul. He left SM Entertainment, joined HYBE after receiving a love call from Chairman Ban Si-hyuk, and revealed the process of establishing the label ADOR and debuting NewJeans. Initially, under Chairman Ban Si-hyuk's proposal, they were proceeding with the production as "Min Hee-jin's girl group," but after HYBE acquired SOURCE MUSIC, they decided to create a girl group together. Representative Min Hee-jin said, "I initially refused, but since he kept proposing and I had changed jobs, I wanted to cooperate." However, they couldn't agree on things, and among the trainees at SOURCE MUSIC, apart from Minji, who is now a member of NewJeans, there were no other members who could continue together due to various reasons. Representative Min Hee-jin had to cast new members, but at that time, SOURCE MUSIC's branding was not strong, so they conducted auditions under the slogans proposed by HYBE such as "Min Hee-jin's girl group" and "BIGHIT that made BTS a hit." Representative Min Hee-jin explained the reason for establishing the label, saying, "SOURCE MUSIC didn't introduce me to the members, didn't let me meet them even though I prepared songs for them to practice, and gave directions to the dance director. I wanted to debut them at ADOR." He continued, "What's amazing is that CEO Park Ji-won said not to promote NewJeans until LE SSERAFIM debuts. I had to create the illusion that it was my girl group. It didn't make sense." He also revealed that he is in the process of renegotiating the shareholder agreement with HYBE. He expressed his anger towards the multi-label system of HYBE and criticized Chairman Bang Si-hyuk. He also opened up about the issue of copying NewJeans by ILLIT. He mentioned the difficulties faced by the members and shared their current situations and interactions with their mothers. He expressed his frustration with HYBE's treatment of NewJeans and hinted at taking legal action against them.
