JxJ, a new unit by Jeonghan and Joshua of the 13-member group SEVENTEEN, which is active around the world, is showing a relaxed and sophisticated charm with their new song “12 o'clock.” At 0:00 on the 12th, JxJ released a dance challenge video for the title track “12 o'clock” from their 1st Mini Album “DREAMSCAPE” on SEVENTEEN’s official Instagram. First, a part of the audio containing JxJ’s singing voice was revealed for the first time, drawing attention. On a track based on dance rock that modernly reinterprets disco-funk style, the two members’ relaxed and stylish vocals are added, heightening expectations for the full version. In the choreography, JxJ’s smooth dance lines and restrained, mature beauty stand out. Movements that are easy to imitate, such as covering one eye with one hand or placing a finger on the lips, suggest the arrival of a challenge boom. Although it is only a short video of about 12 seconds, the combination of the addictive sound and the aura of the two members leaves a strong impression. JxJ colored the new album with a variety of songs, including “12 o'clock,” “Like you” in the house genre, “Outside” with an impressive melancholy electronic piano sound, “One plus one” based on R&B and soul, and “No looking back” with striking rough electric guitar and bass. The seven songs included on the album musically depict a dream world in which fantasies that bloom while sleeping and ideals that one wants to achieve in reality are constantly intertwined and collide. JxJ will release a highlight medley containing parts of each song’s audio on the 14th, and official teasers over two days on the 17th and 18th. “12 o'clock” and the audio for all songs will be unveiled at 6 p.m. on the 19th.
SEVENTEEN’s Dino surprise-released his new song “AUTOMATIC” at 6 p.m. today. He co-wrote the track, which captures the thrill of love that feels complete when two people are together. Producer Jintae Ko also helped write it. Dino had already previewed the stage at his solo show, drawing an explosive response.
Pledis Entertainment announced it is monitoring and collecting evidence against malicious posts, false rumors, and defamatory attacks on SEVENTEEN, including content about members’ military service. It warned that it will pursue civil and criminal action, even against those who spread the posts.
SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Dino enlisted in the military today as army band members. S.Coups shared a photo with them on Instagram, and Woozi was also seen at the enlistment site. The two greeted fans on Weverse before enlistment, while Pledis said they will continue meeting CARAT through prepared content.
