On the 13th, "GOLDEN WAVE in TAIWAN" held at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan ended successfully. This performance, which was canceled due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, resumed for the first time in 4 years since its initial launch in 2020. The news of the event attracted a lot of attention, and the 40,000-seat audience was full. Fans who visited the venue cheered enthusiastically and enjoyed the performance that lasted about 3 hours to the fullest. "GOLDEN WAVE" met fans' expectations with a luxurious lineup. &TEAM, (G)I-DLE, BOYNEXTDOOR, the unit Busokseong by SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan, Dokyeom, and Hoshi, ENHYPEN, Jung Dongwon, NMIXX, STAYC, and ZEROBASEONE showcased fulfilling stages. The 5th generation boy group kicked off "GOLDEN WAVE." BOYNEXTDOOR, busy preparing for a Korean comeback, visited Taiwan for "GOLDEN WAVE." They livened up the stage with "One and Only" and "But Sometimes," and also unveiled their new song "OUR." Tesan expressed his excitement, saying, "This is my first performance in Kaohsiung." ZEROBASEONE, who took over the baton, also had their first performance in Kaohsiung. They performed their debut song "In Bloom" and other stages like "CRUSH" and "New Kidz on the Block." In particular, Zhang Hao, Kim Taele, and Ricky sang the popular Taiwanese drama OST "Miss You 3000" and enjoyed a special stage with the fans. Next, Jung Dongwon made his first stage in Taiwan. He sang "Who Am I" stylishly and performed SUPER JUNIOR's "Miracle." This song topped Taiwan's top music streaming chart for 209 weeks. Jung Dongwon showcased his skills with his version of "Miracle" and captivated the audience. &TEAM, active in Japan, also presented a memorable stage for the audience. &TEAM appealed their uniqueness with "Dropkick" and "FIREWORK." Nicholas showed excitement, saying, "Performing in Taiwan with the members was a dream." The power of girl groups was also strong. The stages of the talented 4th generation girl groups NMIXX and STAYC followed. NMIXX performed three songs including "Love Me Like This." This day became unforgettable for NMIXX. Heewon sang a birthday song for member Jiu, saying, "Today is a special day for us. It's Jiu's birthday." Following their early-year concert, STAYC visited Taiwan and livened up the stage with "RUN2U," "Teddy Bear," and "Bubble," which were popular in Korea. Taiwanese fans sang along, responding with loud cheers. The latter half of "GOLDEN WAVE" featured performance masters. ENHYPEN started with the fan director's chosen opening song "CRIMINAL LOVE." They performed four songs including "Sweet Venom," "Orange flower," and "Bite Me." They attracted attention with their sharp dances and created an atmosphere as if it were an ENHYPEN concert venue. (G)I-DLE's stage was also powerful. They started with the new song "Super Lady" and Soyeon's acapella, followed by representative songs like "TOMBOY" and "Queencard." In particular, Shuhua, who is from Taiwan, expressed her joy at meeting Taiwanese fans up close. The finale of "GOLDEN WAVE" was closed by the unit Busokseong by SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan, Dokyeom, and Hoshi. Busokseong started the stage with "Just Do It" and pumped up the audience with a stage that couldn't be taken eyes off. They also performed Busokseong-style ballads and unveiled the OST "The Reasons of My Smiles" from the tvN drama "Queen of Tears." They ended with "Fighting," filled with irreplaceable energy. MC Chu Young-woo, who led "GOLDEN WAVE" with a strong presence, shone. He gained attention on KBS 2TV's "Oasis" last year and showed his talent as an MC. Despite being his first solo MC, he led "GOLDEN WAVE" without any signs of nervousness. He, a K-POP fan, was thrilled to host "GOLDEN WAVE," saying, "I'm truly honored." He also demonstrated a relaxed progress through greetings in the local language. Not only as a solo MC, but also MCs such as Shuhua, ENHYPEN's Sunghoon and Jake, ZEROBASEONE's Kim Gyubin and Han Yujin, and STAYC's Xiun and NMIXX's Gyujin, livened up the atmosphere with fresh chemistry. "GOLDEN WAVE in TAIWAN" will be simultaneously streamed on JTBC and Japan's Lemino on May 4th at noon.
