THE BOYZ demanded the termination of their exclusive contract with their agency One Hundred. Today (19th), a Korean media reported that nine members of THE BOYZ, excluding New (Younghoon, Juyeon, Hyunjae, Sunwoo, Q, Sangyeon, Kevin, Jacob, Eric), sent a certified letter to CEO Cha Gawon of One Hundred in February requesting contract termination. According to reports, the members requested to view settlement breakdowns along with the certified letter, but the CEO did not disclose them. In response, it is reported that THE BOYZ determined that One Hundred violated the exclusive contract and that the trust relationship had reached an irreparable level. Additionally, it is said that New is expected to remain with One Hundred. In response, One Hundred stated, "Our company has provided huge exclusive contract fees to all 11 members of THE BOYZ under the premise that they would all act as one team and comply with the contract period. However, due to various discussions among the members last year, this premise collapsed, leading to the situation where one member withdrew, making normal group activities difficult." They continued, "Despite this, we have made efforts to maintain group activities, even accepting significant losses to persuade the affected parties." They also stated, "The demands for contract termination raised by the members, ignoring such circumstances, cannot be accepted," and added, "Some of the content reported today is factually incorrect," clarifying that they have maintained support for THE BOYZ, including vehicles, managers, and practice rooms, and expressed their willingness to provide these normally, but the members have rejected this and ignored the company's support. Furthermore, they emphasized that the claim that CEO Cha Gawon used the members' accommodation deposit is completely unfounded and a clear falsehood. On the same day, THE BOYZ's legal representative revealed through an official press release that they had notified the termination of the exclusive contract as of February 10, 2026, due to serious contract violations and the collapse of trust by the agency. The artist side cited "lack of transparency in settlements" and "neglect of management duties" as decisive reasons for the termination. They also added that there has been no explanation or clarification regarding the situation of receiving hundreds of billions of won in advance payments recently reported. Exposures regarding the deteriorated activity environment continued. The artists emphasized that not only did the agency fail to support essential expenses for activities, but also that the costs for on-site staff had gone unpaid for months, effectively abandoning management duties. Despite such uncertainties, the artists continued to work silently for the sake of their promises to fans, but reached a painful conclusion that they could no longer maintain the trust relationship. However, to minimize damage to third parties caused by this situation, they promised to act responsibly. The members plan to fulfill their commitments, including the concert in April, which is a promise to fans, and other already confirmed schedules. Meanwhile, New has expressed his intention to remain with the agency after sufficient discussions with the members. The remaining nine members added, "We will respect each other's choices and positions and seek various measures to find the best direction for the team and fans." THE BOYZ held fan concerts "THE B LAND" in Korea and Japan last year, followed by their fourth world tour "THE BLAZE" and their first fan meeting in China after their debut. They are set to hold a solo concert "INTER-ZECTION" at KSPO DOME in Songpa, Seoul, from April 24 to 26. The members are reportedly focusing on concert practice at their own expense.
