Irene of Red Velvet made a comeback with her 1st full album 'Biggest Fan'. Irene released her 1st full album 'Biggest Fan' on March 30, and the music video for the title track 'Biggest Fan' was also released. This album includes 10 songs, starting with the bright energy pop dance song 'Biggest Fan', delicately depicting the various emotions Irene has faced and realized in her daily life, allowing listeners to enjoy her expanded musical world. -- It has been about 1 year and 4 months since her first mini album 'Like A Flower' released in November 2024; how do you feel? Irene: I feel nervous, refreshed, and excited. I would be happy if this album could be something that is there for ReVeluv (Red Velvet's fan name) when they need it. -- Since this is your first full album, I hear there were various opinions during the production process. What part did you focus on the most? Irene: For this album, I paid the most attention to the overall storytelling so that the songs would connect as one flow. I wanted to convey the story that 'my biggest fan is myself.' I felt that when you believe in and support yourself, you can become stronger, and I think it was something I wanted to say to ReVeluv and to myself. -- Recently, is there something you can say you are obsessed with, to the point of calling it your 'biggest fan'? Irene: I am obsessed with listening to my album. I have been listening to the unreleased songs through my earphones more than ever before. I feel very nervous thinking that I will soon be able to share them with many people. -- Speaking of Irene, we cannot forget about performance; what are the key points of the performance for the title track 'Biggest Fan'? Irene: I think this choreography fits the song perfectly, and it has turned out wonderfully. The atmosphere and message of the song are embedded in the performance, so I hope you can see the entire stage rather than just one part. There are many key movements, and we worked hard to synchronize expressions and gestures with the dancers, so it should be enjoyable to watch. -- Among the songs on this album, which one would you recommend the most? Irene: My favorite songs are 'Don't Wanna Get Up' and 'Million Miles Away.' They are both pop songs with different charms, and I would be happy if you love them a lot. I'm also curious about which songs ReVeluv will prefer (laughs). -- I heard that 'Love Can Make A Way' contains your autobiographical story. What message did you want to convey through this song? Irene: This song conveys a sense of reassurance from my past self to my present self, saying 'I am always here for you,' while also expressing my apologies and gratitude to myself for the time that has passed. I hope those who listen to this song can reflect on their own time and give warm words to themselves. -- Following the release of your 1st full album 'Biggest Fan', you also have your first solo concert tour planned; can you tell us about your future activity plans? Irene: I want to meet with ReVeluv frequently and have fun activities. I am very excited to greet everyone in various ways after a long time, and I think this year I will have the most time spent with ReVeluv compared to before, so I am happy. I am also preparing hard for my first solo concert tour, so I hope you look forward to it. I want to create many wonderful memories with ReVeluv in each region. Let's go, ReVeluv and I!
