When Woozi of SEVENTEEN was a trainee, a South Korean military officer requested him to introduce a singer to sing at his wedding, causing controversy. According to local media, Mr. A, a superior at the army training center, asked Woozi, who had just entered as a trainee in September, to introduce a singer who would sing at his wedding. Naturally, the connection between Woozi and Mr. A began after entering the military. In response to Mr. A's request, Woozi introduced a famous ballad singer, Mr. B, with whom he had a usual friendship. Mr. B actually sang at Mr. A's wedding in October, and it was revealed that there was no payment for this. The army training center explained that it was not a forced situation at the time and that 'Woozi responded to Mr. A's request out of goodwill.' They stated that there were no illegal or regulatory violations. However, the controversy continues, with voices raised that it is 'inappropriate' for a superior at the training center to make such requests of a trainee for personal matters. According to the army, Woozi is currently selected as an assistant instructor and is serving in the same training unit as Mr. A.
