LIGHTSUM returns after a long hiatus with a mature new look and sound in their 2nd mini album "Honey or Spice."

Breaking the 1 year and 5 month blank period, LIGHTSUM has returned. The team has undergone significant changes during the blank period. LIGHTSUM has been reborn as a 6-member group, and leader Suna appeared on Mnet's survival show "QUEENDOM PUZZLE" to make the team and herself known. The members have used the long time as material for the next activity. At the end of the blank period, LIGHTSUM returned with the 2nd mini album "Honey or Spice". They show a matured appearance different from the previous cute and lively LIGHTSUM, and they aspire to show a "sweet and salty" charm. Once you see it, you can't take your eyes off the "sweet and salty" charm of the 6 members. It's been a long time since the comeback. How has it changed compared to previous albums? Suna: We have become more daring than in previous albums. Also, the biggest difference seems to be that three concepts are integrated into one song, so we can show a variety of expressions on stage. Chouwon: The difference from previous albums is the change in concept and the visual of the members, isn't it (laughs)? Nayoung: Yes. The big difference is the matured visual and ability of us. Hina: This time, our style has changed a lot, so I think we can show a newer and more refined appearance! Yujung: I think the biggest change is in the styling, but there were many big changes such as short hair and bleaching that matched the concept this time. Juhyun: Since Yujung and I, the youngest, have become adults, everyone has become an adult group. We can show a more mature LIGHTSUM than before (laughs). What do you want to show the most in this album? Suna: While preparing for this album, I studied the characters a lot. I want to show each character firmly. Chouwon: I wanted to show a different appearance from the previous album, and my expression and attitude to express "Honey or Spice" (laughs). Nayoung: I practiced a lot to change the image during the blank period, so I hope you will focus on the image change. Hina: Since the title song this time is an album that shows both sweet and spicy charm, please pay attention to our various facial expressions! Juhyun: I want to show a more grown-up LIGHTSUM both in terms of ability and visually! I would be happy if you could carefully watch the expressions that change with each stage and the improved teamwork. Yujung: I practiced a lot of cool and dignified expressions while giving a big change with short hair, so I want to show a different charm from the previous album. A documentary video of the comeback has been released. When was the most memorable moment? Suna: The scene where I had a personal interview is the most memorable. I think there are many memories because I talked about what I wanted to convey. Chouwon: The most memorable moment is the shooting scene of the music video. It's one of the moments when I poured a lot of passion, so I feel that way more. Nayoung: The moment when I was practicing vocals (laughs). Hina: I also remember the shooting scene of the music video. It was a new experience because it was the first time acting, and I tried various attempts. Juhyun: The scene where I was working is the most memorable! I'm glad that I was able to leave the process of working hard and worrying in the video. Yujung: At the end, the evaluation video of the trainee days comes out, but it reminded me of the memories of the trainee days, and I was moved by how hard the members worked for their debut. It's not easy to overcome the blank period. Suna: We talked with each other and practiced as a group every day so that we wouldn't lose our sense. Thanks to such efforts, we were able to overcome the blank period. Chouwon: Yes. I think we were able to overcome the blank period because we could talk to and rely on each other. Nayoung: And I thought a lot about the fans who love us and are waiting for us. So I practiced even harder. Hina: I think we were able to overcome it well thanks to the patience to practice without rest and the support of the fans! Juhyun: Since we were together with the members, we were able to overcome it well even though it was hard. As the members said, we had a lot of conversations during the blank period, but thanks to that, we were able to create a stronger sense of unity and firm confidence in the team. Yujung: I also endured a lot while thinking about the SUMIT (Summit) who always gives beautiful words and generous support even during the long blank period. Is there anything you want to do with the members after this activity is over? Suna: I want to go on a trip abroad with the members! Chouwon: I want to go on a trip far away with the members (laughs). Nayoung: Even immediately after the activity is over, I want to prepare for the next album and meet more SUMIT. Hina: First of all, I want to fulfill the "going on a trip together" with everyone. Juhyun: I think it would be interesting to go on a Tokyo trip guided by Hina (laughs). Yujung: I want to go on a performance abroad, eat delicious food with the members, and make a lot of fun memories while enjoying the performance. Do you have any "Light-Log" content you want to shoot with the members? Suna: As I mentioned earlier, I want to go on a trip abroad with the members and shoot "Light-Log" content. Chouwon: If we go on a trip with the members, I definitely wanted to shoot "Light-Log" (laughs). Nayoung: I think it would be interesting to change the members and stand on stage with the unit songs of this album. Hina: I definitely want to go far away with everyone and shoot "Light-Log"! Juhyun: I think it's necessary to leave a video of the Tokyo trip guided by Hina. Haha (laughs). Yujung: I want to go camping with the members, eat meat, play games, and shoot our natural appearance on video while talking a lot. What is the most thing you want to achieve with LIGHTSUM this year? Suna: I want LIGHTSUM to be known to more people and show a lot of stages that we haven't been able to show so far. Chouwon: The most thing I want to achieve this year is to meet more SUMIT than the time after debut. Nayoung: I also want to meet many SUMIT people! Hina: I want to definitely receive an award at the year-end awards ceremony (laughs). Juhyun: I want to meet many SUMIT people in Korea and abroad, and I want to communicate with them! I want to show various stages and covers. Yujung: I want more people to know the group LIGHTSUM and our songs than now. Do you have a word for SUMIT who waited for the blank period?
