While BLACKPINK’s Jennie warned of legal action against a video that had been maliciously edited, the account that posted the problematic video was deleted. It was confirmed that the account of netizen A, who first posted the video in which Jennie’s body was exposed, was in a suspended state on the morning of August 19. The video A made public exceeded 12 million views and drew major attention. After that, online debate broke out over whether A’s video had been altered by AI. Amid this, when Jennie’s side warned of legal action, A’s account was suspended. Her agency, OA Entertainment, warned, “Regarding acts such as maliciously editing or reprocessing an artist’s visual characteristics, repeatedly posting, reposting, or distributing specific scenes from certain photos or videos, or posting or distributing such content together with insulting expressions or false facts, we plan to actively take necessary legal measures depending on the content and degree of the case.” It then emphasized, “We make clear that in this process, our company will not make any settlement or show any leniency.” Jennie recently appeared as a headliner at “SUMMER SONIC 2026.” Even amid unexpected clothing and sound issues, she captivated many audience members with an overwhelming stage performance.
