ENHYPEN is not staying in past glory but aiming for higher places. Recently, ENHYPEN conducted an interview ahead of the release of their 7th mini-album "THE SIN: VANISH." The members reflected on moments when they received major awards at ceremonies like the "2025 MAMA AWARDS," sharing goosebump-inducing episodes. Heeseung said, "When we debuted, we decided that our goal was to win a grand prize in 2025. Winning a grand prize itself is our biggest goal, equivalent to realizing our dream. It is a turning point in our lives, and we accept it as a message of encouragement to not stay here but to produce better results from now on." Why was the goal set for 2025? Jungwon shared, "There is an episode that you might not really believe. Before our debut, shortly after the auditions ended, our manager gathered us in the living room and wrote '2025.1' on a board. It was a discussion about aiming for first place in 2025, and when we won the grand prize, I suddenly remembered that and got goosebumps. As for why 2025, honestly, I don’t know the details. I think we were able to achieve good results because we worked hard with a goal in mind, aiming to win the grand prize in 2025." ENHYPEN has now entered their 7th year since debut. Of course, there have been slumps, but the members overcame them through conversation. Jay admitted, "I can’t say there haven’t been mentally tough times during our activities, but since our debut, when we faced difficulties or needed help, we always talked together. Conversations with members are always the most important, and when problems arose, we made sure to discuss and resolve them on the same day. Thanks to quick communication, we built strong teamwork without misunderstandings. Since I resolved my personal slumps with the members, I didn’t experience major slumps." Regarding continuing their solid vampire concept, Sunghoon gave a mature response. He said, "I think many people find conceptual work difficult. We also found it hard at first, but I believe we have grown thanks to the vampire concept, so moving forward, we plan to think about how to express this in an understandable way so that more people can enjoy it. This time, we have a narration explaining a possibly difficult story in between songs, read by actor Park Jung-min, so I think many people will understand it." Niki added, "I also found it very difficult at first, but now I think we have developed our own color. The vampire concept is solid, so I think it has become a differentiating point from other teams. Musically, it allows us to challenge various genres, which suits us well and is fun." ENHYPEN is approaching the re-contracting season next year. Regarding re-contracting, Jungwon cautiously replied, "We haven’t discussed re-contracting yet. Still, we will ensure good results for our fans, ENGENE." Finally, regarding their activity goals, Jake said, "After Coachella, I felt many things. We had to attract attention from people who don’t know us or K-POP, so we approached the stage with a different mindset. I felt a lot and experienced different joys. From now on, I think we need to let those who don’t know us listen to good music and albums." He added, "It’s very important to release an album from the beginning of this year. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, and we have three members born in the Year of the Horse. I believe we can achieve great results and good outcomes. I always hope to receive awards for our hard work at the end of the year like last year, and my goal is to produce results that make all moments enjoyable for ENGENE." Niki expressed his desire for specific achievements, saying, "My personal goal since debut has been to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. In fact, we have ranked on the Billboard 200 chart, but we haven’t reached number one yet. So, if I’m being ambitious, I’m satisfied with this album, and since I’m really confident in it, I want to definitely achieve number one." ENHYPEN also released a teaser for the music video of the title track "Knife," showcasing cinematic intensity.
