ILLIT delivers a different kind of charm with a remix of the title track “You’re Under Arrest” from its 5th mini album “BREAK EVEN.” Today (the 6th) at 2 p.m., ILLIT released the audio for “You’re Under Arrest (Remixes).” In addition to the original song, it consists of seven tracks: four remixes that each incorporate different musical styles, a “Sped Up” version with the playback speed changed, and a “Slowed + Reverb Ver.” Each track’s individuality also stands out. The “Kids Remix” arranged the original song into a nursery-rhyme version with bouncy melodies, maximizing ILLIT’s playful charm. The “Whistle Remix” brings the whistle sound that symbolizes “You’re Under Arrest” to the forefront. The powerful whistle sound that rings in the ears gives the song even more vitality. The EDM-based “Club Remix” brings the heat of the stage directly into the sound, and the heavy bass and powerful beat that resonate in the chest release explosive energy. The “Hyper Remix” boldly rearranges the rhythm by layering it over electronic sounds processed with noise, transforming the original song into an experimental electronic track. The “Sped Up” version, which makes the original song 1.3 times faster, is used as background music for the hand-gun dance challenge and is rapidly spreading mainly on short-form video platforms around the world. The popularity of “You’re Under Arrest” is also reflected in various indicators. In addition to ranking for nine consecutive days on Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” and Apple Music’s “Top 100: Global,” the song ranked 10th on Apple Music’s “Top 100: Japan” (dated November 5), recording the highest ranking among female artists. ILLIT is teaming up once again with the long-loved Korean character “Little Mimi” and will release the “Little Mimi” version of the 5th mini album “BREAK EVEN” on the 30th of next month. This work is produced as a doll keyring-type album and consists of a mini CD, lyric booklet, three kinds of photo cards, stickers, and more. You can enjoy merchandise together with the music. This merchandise is themed around the “black agent” concept of “You’re Under Arrest.” BELIFT LAB said, “We added details such as ribbons and frills to ILLIT’s ‘black agent’ look from the music video. If combined with the whistle keyring and charms previously revealed as album goods, fans can enjoy highly individual styling to suit their own tastes,” and added, “We hope you will pay attention to the ‘Little Mimi’ version, which enhances not only the enjoyment of listening to music but also its appeal as a collectible.” ILLIT’s merchandise editions have become established as signature content that draws attention every time they are released. So far, in addition to doll keyholders, the group has offered items reflecting the interests of teenagers and people in their twenties, such as in-ear headphones (3rd mini album) and a ceramic gua sha object (4th mini album), and has received a strong response through attempts that cross the boundaries of music, fashion, and beauty. In particular, the “Little Mimi” version of the 1st single sold out early during the pre-order period, leading to additional production, and it also became a topic of conversation that the members performed in matching outfits with the dolls, delivering a different kind of fun. The “Little Mimi” version of the 5th mini album “BREAK EVEN” can be pre-ordered on various online CD sales sites.
