The global group &TEAM, which originated in Japan, has released a highlight medley for their Korean second mini album "Mark on Me," which will be released in Korea on Tuesday, September 8, and in Japan on Monday, September 21 (a national holiday). This work, "Mark on Me," depicts the story of nine wolves who were once rejected by the world and shut themselves away, meeting "you," who accepted them as they are, and gradually opening their hearts and changing through that love. It is an ambitious work in which the emotion of "love" is added to the wolf DNA that is &TEAM's identity, showing a new expression of the wolves' earnest love and resolve. In the highlight medley released at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, along with behind-the-scenes footage such as the concept photos and trailers for "Mark on Me" that had been released so far, a portion of the sounds of all six included tracks and the nine members' colorful vocal expressions were revealed. The video opens powerfully with the addictive hip-hop number "Good Boy," in which wild instincts and confident rap and shouts intersect over an energetic 808 beat and a heavy bass line. Next comes the love song "러브장 (Love Jang)," in which light and warm retro synths express the bittersweet excitement of the 1990s; the pop R&B "Accelerate," in which a supple groove and pleasant synth sounds create an uplifting feeling like a night drive; the alternative rock ballad "Empty," in which band sounds and melodies raise the emotions; and then "Night to howl!," in which refreshing and uninhibited band sounds reminiscent of 2000s American pop punk release the emotions. The changing state of mind after meeting "you" is portrayed through a multifaceted sound. And the final song in the highlight medley is the title track "Mark on Me," which also drew major attention in the track list released on September 1. This song was produced by Griff Clawson, who has worked with BLACKPINK's Rosé and NCT, and singer-songwriter Benson Boone, who is currently recording a global mega-hit, also participated in its production. A dramatic sound with a mature atmosphere has been revealed, but almost nothing has yet been disclosed about the vocal parts, and expectations are rapidly rising for the full picture of what kind of earnest love confession will be delivered by the nine voices. On September 5 and 6, &TEAM will finally take on their first solo dome concert. With anticipation building toward the release of their latest work Mark on Me, their first comeback in Korea since their debut there last year, the six notable tracks created together with a star-studded team of creators have been partially unveiled, and as the teaser content for the release reaches its climax, expectations are growing for the new musical world they will show.
&TEAM released the Mobile Game version of its original video content for the Korean 2nd mini album Mark on Me. The retro game-style promo shows fans raising baby wolves by day and dating wolfmen by night, highlighting sweet lines, the TAME ME concept, and the group’s first full romance theme.
