Can the foolish four who gained superpowers save the world? On the 12th, a production announcement for the Netflix series 'Wonder Fools' was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Seoul JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square. Attending the event were director Yoo In-sik, Park Eun-bin, Choi Deok-hun, Lim Sung-jae, Kim Hae-sook, Song Hyun-joo, Jeong I-so, Choi Yoon-ji, and Bae Na-ra. 'Wonder Fools' is a comedic action-adventure where four seemingly ordinary people, who gain special powers in 1999 during a time of apocalyptic fears, fight against villains threatening the peace of Heosung City. Director Yoo In-sik described the story as unfolding from the mission these four, known as Hodan, face to save the world. He expressed his long-held dream of creating a fun hero story that evokes the excitement he felt as a child. He emphasized that the genre must be enjoyable, akin to the thrill of a theme park ride. He also highlighted the meticulous attention to detail in recreating the 1999 setting, including graffiti and Y2K emergency kits. Park Eun-bin plays the lead role of Eun Che-ni, a carefree granddaughter of a restaurant owner in Heosung City, who gains teleportation abilities. She chose 'Wonder Fools' for its unique script and hopes to share a fun experience with viewers. The filming atmosphere was enjoyable, with a strong team chemistry, despite the challenges of difficult scenes. Expectations for 'Wonder Fools' are high, especially following the success of the hit drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.' Director Yoo In-sik expressed hopes for global success and promised to create additional content if the series ranks first globally. Regarding the editing process after a controversy involving actor Cha Eun-woo, he stated that the project was a long-time dream and emphasized the importance of the show's overall quality. He praised Cha Eun-woo's performance as a new challenge for all actors. 'Wonder Fools' will be released on Netflix at 5 PM on the 15th.
