ASTRO’s MJ has taken his first full-fledged step as a solo artist. Yesterday (the 19th) at 6 p.m., MJ released his first single, "Right..?" through various music streaming sites. The new single "Right..?" is a work in which MJ actively participated not only in writing and composing the songs, but also throughout the album production, filling it with his own musical color. As the title seems to contain the inner question of asking himself, "What I’m saying is right, isn’t it...?", the cheerful sensibility unique to MJ and his vivid message are impressive. The title track, "1 to 10, 1 minute ago (stopped at 9)", is a rock-based track for which MJ himself proposed the concept and also participated in writing and composing. It expresses, with witty lyrics and a light rock sound, the feelings of hesitation and inability to be honest in front of the person he has a one-sided crush on. In particular, "1 to 10" in the song title and lyrics uniquely expresses in numbers the "read but ignored" situation, in which someone reads a message but does not reply. While self-rationalizing, saying, "I also thought you weren’t that great," when rejected by the other person, he still cannot give up, and the moment of gathering courage again and approaching once more is sung with MJ’s refreshing vocals, drawing empathy.
