Prior to this, on August 28, SM Entertainment reported that Tail had been accused of sexual crimes. The agency stated through an official comment, 'We have recently confirmed the fact that Tail has been accused in a criminal case regarding sexual crimes. We were aware of the facts and recognized that the case is quite serious, leading us to determine that he could no longer continue group activities. After discussions with Tail, we decided on his departure from the group.'
