NCT 127 opened its fifth world tour in Seoul with a sold-out KSPO DOME run, powerful performances, and elaborate stage production.

NCT 127 marked the brilliant start of its fifth world tour with overwhelming stage direction and skill. NCT 127 held “NCT 127 5TH TOUR ‘NEO CITY : SEOUL – THE REDLINE’” for three days from the 18th to the 20th at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. This performance recorded a complete sellout, including restricted-view seats, and drew a total of 31,500 spectators, proving their immense ticket power. Under the concept of “REDLINE,” meaning to go beyond limits and run at maximum output, the members vividly expressed the teamwork that had become even stronger after a period of change. They portrayed their move toward further acceleration through music, performance, and diverse production, once again showing the performance ability of NCT 127, which has continued to evolve over the past 10 years. The members, who made a splendid entrance from the air on wires, drew exclamations from the audience from the very start, and, beginning with “Legacy” and “Step Up,” they took control of the stage with stable live vocals and performances while covering new songs and representative songs such as “Walk,” “Simon Says,” and “Cherry Bomb.” In particular, the members changed the atmosphere with “Piñata,” appearing on their signature camouflage-patterned vehicle, and continued their unhesitating run from their debut song “Fire Truck” to “Fact Check,” “Hero; Kick It,” and the title track “Blingy” from their 7th full album released in August. In response, cheers and mass sing-alongs that shook the venue erupted from the seats. NCT 127 displayed a wide range, from powerful performances to refreshing moods and rough, free moods, fully demonstrating the underlying strength they had accumulated over 10 years, and while interacting with Czennies (the name of NCT’s fans), they completed the climax of the concert together. Large-scale production that raised the completeness of the concert to the limit also shone. In “Punch,” a boxing ring measuring 13 meters wide and 10 meters long was realized with lasers, and in “Fire Truck,” after a VCR and pyrotechnics recreating a burning city, a scene was staged in which water cannons pouring down over the main stage seemed to extinguish an actual fire, adding impact. In particular, they used a wide variety of devices, including more than 100 lasers, the largest scale for a KSPO DOME performance, as well as pyrotechnics, lighting, VJ, and various lifts and floats. In “Fact Check,” where an arm-shaped kinesis set measuring 14 meters wide and 6.5 meters long spread out, and in “Hero; Kick It,” where a grand dragon VCR enveloped the stage, the conceptual production harmonized with the members’ performances for each stage, increasing immersion in the concert. The empty seats of members Doyoung and Jungwoo, who are serving in the military, were also filled through warm planning. In stages such as “Ay-Yo,” “Day After Day,” and “Promise You,” VCRs and videos filmed by Doyoung and Jungwoo before enlistment appeared, adding meaning to the stage created by the seven members together. Fans filling the seats carried out slogan events and sing-along events with phrases such as “Seoul’s longitude is still 127,” “NO 127 NO LIFE,” and “Czennies’ eternal pride, Uri Chil (our 127),” conveying unchanging affection and support for the members. After the concert, the members said, “It was deeply moving to be able to stand on stage with the members after a long time, and I felt once again that the place where NCT 127 should be is a stage together with the members,” and added, “Before we knew it, we have reached our 10th anniversary, but the 10th anniversary is not the end, but a new beginning. We want to keep running beyond 20 and 30 years together with the members and Czennies. We are grateful for creating our brilliant 10 years, and we ask you to help us create the next 10 years together as well.” On the afternoon of the 20th, a commemorative shot of all the members, including Doyoung and Jungwoo, was released through NCT 127’s official SNS, revealing that the two had rushed to the concert venue despite being in military service.
