Teile, who was sent documents for suspicion of sexual crime, is reported to be suspected of special quasi-rape. Today (7th), SM Entertainment commented to OSEN, saying, 'This is an ongoing investigation, and it is difficult to comment,' showing a cautious stance. On this day, the Chosun Ilbo reported that Teile is under police investigation for special quasi-rape. Special quasi-rape is established when a weapon is possessed or when two or more people commit sexual intercourse with a partner who is unable to resist due to loss of mental or physical capacity. If the suspicion is recognized, according to Article 4, Paragraph 1 of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes in Korea, it will result in imprisonment for more than 7 years or life imprisonment. According to reports, Teile was accused of sexually assaulting a drunken woman with two acquaintances in June. After two months since the accusation, he was summoned for investigation on August 28 and was sent documents to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office on the 12th of last month. None of the accomplices are celebrities, and it is reported that the prosecution has not yet proceeded with the summons investigation. Previously, SM Entertainment issued an official comment on the day of Teile's summons investigation, stating, 'We have recently confirmed the fact that Teile has been accused in a criminal case regarding sexual crimes. We were aware of the facts regarding this matter and recognized that the case is quite serious, leading us to determine that we can no longer continue team activities. After discussions with Teile, we decided on his departure from the group.' Given that SM has been relatively lenient regarding artists' private lives, speculation continues that the seriousness of Teile's allegations prompted his swift departure. Some fans have also voiced their desire for the specific content of the allegations to be made public, but SM has not clarified any special additional position. Amidst this, reports emerged that Teile's allegations involve special quasi-rape, but SM dismissed this by saying, 'It is difficult to comment.'
