SHINee’s Minho attracted attention for his outstanding athletic ability. Recently, on the YouTube channel “Choi Minho,” a video titled “Can Minho Become a Police Officer? Challenging the Police Circuit Physical Fitness Test” was released. On this day, Minho, who visited a police physical fitness test specialized training center, began by saying, “I have been exercising consistently from the beginning, but because I have HYROX in Chiba coming up soon, I have recently been raising my physical condition quite a bit.” He continued, “I came here because I wanted to check and test how my body condition is right now. This is a place where you receive training before taking the (physical fitness measurement) test that produces police officers who protect Korea,” and revealed, “Today I am going to challenge the test that police officers take.” Prior to this, it had been revealed that Minho had participated in “HYROX” right before a Tokyo Dome performance last year, drawing attention. “HYROX” is an international sports competition that began in Germany, an indoor fitness race that combines running and functional exercise. He said, “When you are a child, don’t you once have a dream of becoming a police officer? So today, I want to see whether I can really become a police officer.” He added, “Actually, when I was a child, police officers, soldiers, and firefighters were my dreams. Today is the day to test my childhood dream from when I was in kindergarten,” showing his anticipation. When the production staff asked, “How is your physical condition?” Minho said, “Honestly, 85 points? I’m not in bad shape. This week I plan to push myself a little more with exercise, and from next week I plan to lower the intensity. Of course, I think this will be difficult, but I think I can do my best.” After that, he challenged the items of the police physical fitness test. He said he was disappointed with his own record, but the center’s representative praised him, saying, “Even though it was your first time, you were very good.”
