A woman in her 30s who illegally purchased multiple tickets for BTS (BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys) Gwanghwamun performances was sent to prosecutors without being detained. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Cyber Investigation Unit on the 26th, A, who is suspected of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., obstruction of business, and violation of the Performance Act, was sent to prosecutors on the 21st while not in custody. From April 2023 to March of this year, A is suspected of using macros (automated programs) and accounts under the names of family members and acquaintances to illegally purchase about 2,600 tickets for idol performances and then resell them at a price above face value. In addition, A is also suspected of reserving nine BTS Gwanghwamun performance tickets in February of this year using the same method. In the process, she was caught by the police, so the tickets were not actually resold. The police applied for pre-indictment preservation of confiscation and collection for about 442 million won (about 51 million yen) in criminal proceeds from A. The police stated, 'We will continue to strictly investigate illegal ticket purchasing and distribution activities.' From the 28th, the revised Performance Act and the National Sports Promotion Act will be enforced in Korea. As a result, penalties will be strengthened, including imposing a surcharge of up to 50 times the sales amount on those who engage in illegal resale. ・Announcement of nominations for the '2026 MTV VMA' from BTS to BLACKPINK and CORTIS! ・BTS declares non-participation...
