Over the past few years, the music industry has seen remarkable activity from new artists. Especially, girl groups have emerged like comets, each with unique concepts and music that have captured listeners' hearts and changed the K-POP landscape. In 2021, IVE debuted and became a big hit, and the following year, NewJeans took their first step into the music world, causing a global sensation. Amidst the success of the 4th generation girl groups, 2023 also saw remarkable activity from new boy groups. ZEROBASEONE, born from Mnet's "BOYS PLANET," grew rapidly with overwhelming support from international fans. Additionally, SM Entertainment's new boy group RIIZE and KOZ Entertainment's BOYNEXTDOOR, under HYBE, captivated people with their approachable music. As these "monster rookies" continue to thrive each year, expectations are high for which new groups will cause a sensation in the music world in 2024. One of the most anticipated groups is YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER, which was launched 7 years after BLACKPINK. BABYMONSTER, which released its debut single "BATTER UP" in November last year, attracted attention from K-POP fans worldwide for its exceptional talent and visuals. The music video for "BATTER UP" recorded 22.59 million views in just one day, setting a new record for the most views in 24 hours for a K-POP debut song. It also surpassed 100 million views in approximately 18 days, the fastest among K-POP group debut songs. The official YouTube channel has already exceeded 4 million subscribers and is a global sensation. BABYMONSTER, which demonstrated overwhelming talent with its debut song "BATTER UP," plans to expand its activities even more energetically from this year. One of the most anticipated boy groups is TWS, launched by Pledis Entertainment 9 years after SEVENTEEN. The group name TWS is an abbreviation of "TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US," meaning "always with TWS." TWS plans to deliver refreshing music that makes you feel good just by listening. TWS has been called the "most anticipated star of 2024" even before the group name was announced, attracting attention from K-POP fans. A special video "TWS Prologue 'Oh Mymy: 7s'" was released at the beginning of the year, revealing the visuals of the 6 members and creating a big buzz. TWS, which announced its debut on January 22, is described by Pledis as "a next-generation group that combines Pledis' outstanding creative power with HYBE's powerful infrastructure to create a new wind," and is expected to show the group's unique color with the outstanding abilities and various charms of each member. ALL(H)OURS, a 7-member boy group with Japanese members, is also attracting attention as the so-called "cousin group of Stray Kids" produced by Cho Hee-sung, vice president of JYP Entertainment, who oversaw numerous global artists. ALL(H)OURS, which means "ALL OURS," and "ALL HOURS," conveys the message "Let's pour everything we have into every moment." In addition, the final debut group of "R U Next?" and the new girl group I'LL-IT, belonging to BELIFT LAB, are preparing to debut this year, and a boy group selected through the SBS survival audition program "LOUD" at JYP Entertainment is also preparing to debut. Attention is also focused on the activities of NEXZ, born from "Nizi Project Season 2," and VCHA, a girl group born from JYP's global project "A2K." Furthermore, the 5-member new girl group Geenius, whose members appeared on Mnet's "Girls Planet 999: Girls Festival," will debut by releasing the single "Voyage" on January 5. The 6-member boy group under Howling Entertainment will debut with the 1st mini album "Mission of School" on January 8. Brave Entertainment has also announced the launch of a new girl group for the first time in about 13 years since the debut of BBGIRLS (Brave Girls) in 2011. Thus, these outstanding super rookies have announced their activities, exciting K-POP fans worldwide. Who will become the hot star that will shake the music world in 2024 is now the focus of attention.
