YG ENTERTAINMENT's rookie girl group BABYMONSTER achieved a new record with their official debut song "SHEESH," reaching 100 million views on YouTube in the fastest time for a debut song by a K-POP girl group, signaling the glamorous emergence of a "monster rookie" that will change the flow of the world's music market. According to YG ENTERTAINMENT on the 11th, BABYMONSTER's official debut song "SHEESH" music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube around 11:35 am on the same day. This is the fastest record among K-POP artists who debuted after 2017. The number of YouTube channel subscribers, an indicator of forming a loyal fandom, also exceeded 5 million on the 10th. The official debut of the seven members triggered a rapid expansion of global fandom. After the release of their 1st mini album "BABYMONS7ER" on the 1st, they gathered over 390,000 people in just 9 days. The total number of views has exceeded 1.4 billion and is steadily increasing. BABYMONSTER now holds three music videos with over 100 million views, including two pre-debut songs. "BATTER UP" broke 100 million views in 18 days and 200 million views in 53 days, setting the fastest record for a K-POP group's debut music video at the time, while "Stuck In The Middle" achieved 100 million views in 38 days despite being a ballad song without a performance. On the 1st at midnight, BABYMONSTER released their 1st mini album "BABYMONS7ER." They are expected to get closer to Korean fans through activities such as music shows and fan sign events. They will also meet fans at fan meetings in five Asian regions following Tokyo, including Indonesia, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok, as well as at Japan's largest music festival, "SUMMER SONIC 2024."
