ILLIT left a strong impression with the first concept photos for its new release, with a sharp and cold atmosphere. On the 3rd, ILLIT released the concept photos for the “BURNING” version of its 5th mini album “BREAK EVEN” on the group’s official SNS. It is a concept that expresses the moment of exploding with anger upon realizing the sunk cost of feelings given to the other person. The members’ cold gazes in the photos instantly catch the eye, and the cool aura they emit in the dim space leaves a strong impression. While their chic transformation, different from their previous lively and lovely image, stands out, the addition of kitschy accessories does not lose the sensibility of “ILLIT core.” These photos are connected to the story of the concept film for the same version that was previously released. Whereas the film traced each member’s story and changes in emotion, the photos are composed of scenes that capture the most intense moment in that flow. The image, which is reminiscent of a movie still cut, vividly engraves the emotion of the concept called “BURNING.” The 5th mini album “BREAK EVEN,” to be released on the 26th of this month, is an album depicting the break-even point of a relationship with no gain or loss. ILLIT sings of a firm resolve that they will no longer spend their feelings or time on relationships that are not rewarded even if they devote themselves. The response to the new release is also rapidly heating up. On the 2nd, “BREAK EVEN” ranked 3rd in Spotify’s “Pre-save Top 10.” In just 8 days since Spotify users became able to “Pre-save,” it surpassed 200,000 cases, proving the high interest from music fans around the world even before the comeback. Meanwhile, ahead of the comeback, ILLIT will appear before fans in a solo performance. On the 17th and 18th of this month, they are scheduled to hold the encore tour “ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥’ ENCORE in KOREA” at Incheon Inspire Arena and perform special stages.
