ILLIT targets the preferences of those in their teens to twenties. According to their agency BELIFT LAB yesterday (the 1st), ILLIT will release merchandise for their 4th mini-album 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI', including a guasha ceramic object version. This merchandise consists of an object inspired by the guasha shape, as well as a pouch, mini CD, lyric sheet, and photo cards. Guasha is one of the hottest items in the beauty industry, known as a massage tool. ILLIT does not simply follow the functional shape of guasha but incorporates the group's unique adorable sensibility into it. The design of the object is planned to connect with the concept of the new album. BELIFT LAB stated, 'We envisioned an object that can intuitively convey the message of the song 'GRWM (Get Ready With Me)', and the guasha shape, which evokes self-care routines, fits this perfectly. We also included a puppy silhouette design to capture the vibe of another track, 'paw, paw!'.' Following music and fashion, the album reflects the interests of those in their teens to twenties, characteristic of the 'trend icon' ILLIT. Previously, they released unique items such as earphones ('bomb') and a keyring of the character 'Little Mimi' ('NOT CUTE ANYMORE'), capturing the hearts of the public who value individuality beyond just fans. At that time, the relevant items sold out early due to word-of-mouth, proving their extraordinary popularity, leading to additional production. ILLIT's 4th mini-album 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI' will be released on the 30th of this month. The album title 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI' means a moment of negotiation where both parties desire each other but no one takes the first step, in the language of the Yaghan people of South America. This album focuses on the inner self of 'I' amidst the diverse emotions that arise as relationships deepen, telling the story of ILLIT enjoying even complex feelings.
ILLIT will host the 'ILLIT Seoul Children's Grand Park Festival' on May 5 to celebrate their 4th mini-album 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI'.
