
Hoshi of SEVENTEEN has performed good deeds again during military service. Today (8th), according to the Chungnam Love Fruit Social Welfare Joint Fundraising Association, Hoshi recently donated 10 million won (about 100,000 yen) to the Chungnam Comforting War Comrades Love Fund of the Love Fruit Social Welfare Joint Fundraising Association. This is not the first time Hoshi has spread a good influence. Starting with a scholarship donation to his alma mater in 2020, he has continued warm donation activities named after his nickname 'Horani (Tiger)'. In May 2021, he celebrated SEVENTEEN's 6th debut anniversary by donating funds to support children victims of school violence to Good Neighbors, and in June, he donated 100 million won (about 1 million yen) to a welfare foundation in Namyangju City to commemorate his 26th birthday. In November of the same year, he sponsored 10,000 briquettes for low-income families in his hometown of Namyangju City. Furthermore, in September 2022, he donated books worth 50 million won (about 500,000 yen) to a music new media specialized library in Namyangju City. In February 2024, he delivered a donation of 100 million won to Love Fruit in northern Gyeonggi Province for children and youth in difficult situations both domestically and internationally. It is reported that this donation was used for the construction and remodeling of classrooms at the Undra Mansansa Public School in Zambia. SEVENTEEN has been at the forefront of social contribution activities, being the first K-POP artist appointed as a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador and establishing a fund of 1 million dollars (about 140 million yen) for youth worldwide. Hoshi debuted as a member of SEVENTEEN in May 2015. He has produced numerous hit songs such as 'VERY NICE', 'CLAP', 'HOME', 'HIT', 'Left & Right', 'HOME;RUN', and 'HOT', establishing a solid position as a global artist representing K-POP.
