Hoshi of SEVENTEEN donates 10 million won during military service, continuing his charitable efforts and impact on society.

Hoshi of SEVENTEEN has performed good deeds again during military service. Today (8th), according to the Chungnam Love Fruit Social Welfare Joint Fundraising Association, Hoshi recently donated 10 million won (about 100,000 yen) to the Chungnam Comforting War Comrades Love Fund of the Love Fruit Social Welfare Joint Fundraising Association. This is not the first time Hoshi has spread a good influence. Starting with a scholarship donation to his alma mater in 2020, he has continued warm donation activities named after his nickname 'Horani (Tiger)'. In May 2021, he celebrated SEVENTEEN's 6th debut anniversary by donating funds to support children victims of school violence to Good Neighbors, and in June, he donated 100 million won (about 1 million yen) to a welfare foundation in Namyangju City to commemorate his 26th birthday. In November of the same year, he sponsored 10,000 briquettes for low-income families in his hometown of Namyangju City. Furthermore, in September 2022, he donated books worth 50 million won (about 500,000 yen) to a music new media specialized library in Namyangju City. In February 2024, he delivered a donation of 100 million won to Love Fruit in northern Gyeonggi Province for children and youth in difficult situations both domestically and internationally. It is reported that this donation was used for the construction and remodeling of classrooms at the Undra Mansansa Public School in Zambia. SEVENTEEN has been at the forefront of social contribution activities, being the first K-POP artist appointed as a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador and establishing a fund of 1 million dollars (about 140 million yen) for youth worldwide. Hoshi debuted as a member of SEVENTEEN in May 2015. He has produced numerous hit songs such as 'VERY NICE', 'CLAP', 'HOME', 'HIT', 'Left & Right', 'HOME;RUN', and 'HOT', establishing a solid position as a global artist representing K-POP. He has also emerged as a solo artist, receiving acclaim for proving his skills as SEVENTEEN's performance leader with his first solo mixtape 'Spider' in 2021, and subsequently releasing a new song 'TAKE A SHOT' on the day of his enlistment. Through unit activities, he has steadily expanded his musical spectrum. Last year, he successfully concluded activities with the 2nd single 'TELEPARTY' from the unit BSS (Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi), the 1st single 'BEAM' from Hoshi & Woozi, and SEVENTEEN's 5th full album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY'. In July and August, he and Woozi held 11 fan concerts in 5 cities domestically and internationally, attracting over 100,000 spectators. Hoshi enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier on September 16 last year and is currently serving.

SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Joshua have begun the countdown to their comeback with the promotion schedule for their first mini album, DREAMSCAPE. The rollout includes teasers, tracklist, highlight medley, and trailers before the album and title MV drop on October 19.

SEVENTEEN’s Joshua released his new song “Baby Come Home” at 1 p.m. on the 22nd. The acoustic track features a simple arrangement and a warm melody, with Joshua participating in the lyrics and composition. It was released in Chinese and English versions and drew strong reactions from global CARATs. The Chinese version was made with WeiBird, while the English version is Joshua’s solo. SEVENTEEN’s Jun has been cast as the lead, Su Cheng, in the Chinese film Rebirth 2, set for release in China on October 3. He plays a man searching across China for his missing younger brother, and will show both delicate emotional acting and action scenes. The film follows two people uncovering a huge conspiracy involving a criminal organization and seeking revenge. Jun stars alongside Isabella Leong, Sammo Hung, and Bai Ke. He has also been active in China through the Silk Road International Film Festival and a nomination for the Hundred Flowers Award.
SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan revealed that he had serious health problems during his military service. He said his stomach and intestines became very bad, causing him to lose 13 kg and drop to 53 kg before he began exercising. He also joked with Na Young-seok and blamed Mingyu.
