SEVENTEEN’s Joshua released his new song “Baby Come Home” at 1 p.m. on the 22nd. “Baby Come Home” is a song distinguished by a simple arrangement based on an acoustic sound and a warm melody, and Joshua participated in the lyrics and composition. Gentle guitar strums drive the entire song, and the bass and drum performances firmly support it, completing a harmonious track. The new song was released in two versions, Chinese and English, and is drawing enthusiastic reactions from global CARATs (SEVENTEEN’s fandom name). The Chinese version of the audio was collaborated on with WeiBird, a singer-songwriter from the Chinese-speaking region. He is a person who won the Best Composition Award and the Best New Artist Award at the “Golden Melody Awards,” the music awards ceremony that boasts the highest authority in the local area. The harmony between the two artists and the lyrics, “Even if time passes and many things change, if it is a place within reach of your hand, I will always be your home,” combine to give a bittersweet comfort. The English version is Joshua’s solo song. The lyrics, which pictorially depict the message of staying by the other person’s side without changing, create a different atmosphere from the Chinese version.
