BABYMONSTER held a concert at Kyocera Dome Osaka two years after their debut. On the 22nd and 23rd, they held “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM] IN JAPAN,” which is part of their world tour, at Kyocera Dome Osaka over two days. BABYMONSTER, which made its debut in 2024, has been successfully holding its second world tour, which visits 18 cities, starting with the Seoul performance in June this year. In response to the enthusiastic popularity, the number of Hong Kong performances on January 10 next year was also added, and they will hold a total of 30 performances. At this Kyocera Dome Osaka performance, they drew a total of 90,000 spectators over two days, proving their overwhelming ticket power. In this performance as well, their live performance with hand mics, one of their characteristics, and powerful performances shone brightly. They completed a rich set list with a variety of songs, including not only the mega-hit songs “SHEESH” and “DRIP,” which have surpassed 100 million cumulative streams in Japan, but also their first original Japanese song “Ghost” and “REALLY LIKE YOU,” which received passionate love while moving backward on the music charts. In the solo stages, each member fully displayed different individuality and charm, once again proving the presence of a group in which everyone is center. The performance quality unique to YG ENTERTAINMENT also stood out. A grand stage set that overwhelmed the audience, high-quality VCR footage reminiscent of a movie, and a variety of special effects harmonized to create an even more special stage. The members’ high level of Japanese ability, to the extent that no interpreter was needed, and their tasteful talk mixed with Osaka dialect were also important points. BABYMONSTER expressed emotion with tears in their eyes at being able to stand on a dream stage. For the Japanese members Asa and Ruka, it was an even more meaningful performance. The members said, “From the first stage, we were so full of emotion that we felt like tears would come out. Seeing the fans filling the sold-out venue, we once again felt the fact that we are loved by so many people.” They added, “All of these moments are thanks to the fans who continue to support us without change. From now on, we want to walk together with all of you and make even more wonderful memories.” This month, BABYMONSTER achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing 10 billion cumulative views on their official YouTube channel. This is a record achieved in about 3 years and 8 months since the channel was opened. It is a new record for the shortest period among a single channel by a K-pop girl group, and it is the second-highest record of all time after BLACKPINK. The number of channel subscribers also exceeded 13 million, ranking third among K-pop girl groups, proving their overwhelming global popularity.
